This residential roofing job was in Grand Forks, ND, 11/2017. We endured lots of pressure by the salespeople, Jeff and Johnny, but negotiated the price. Then, some problems began. The first installer (from Bismarck) actually begged off the job as temps were around 30 (in early November, 2017) and the crew were very apprehensive of slippery conditions. The foreman fibbed to company I had "let them go." Took a week or so for next installer to begin. In the interim I had preferred to wait until spring but the company pushed the job through. The young foreman's two man crew did not return after the first day (!) but he persevered, mostly alone, got some help from another installer and ended up doing a great job. This was not a complicated roof, but I could see installers having trepidation in cold and sometimes windy late fall weather conditions. There appear to be no problems with the shingles or installation. The roof looks great. But, it is now June and I have heard nothing from Your Home Improvement nor the installer. Not even a "how are things" or "are there any problems". I am getting a nail sweeper from a rent all place in town to pick up loose nails, as there was snow and ice last November which did not allow proper pick up. I think Your Home Improvement needs to pay more attention to followup after job completion, as the assurances of service and followup now seem to be essentially vacuous. That is unfortunate and something I have to call them out on.
